The Secret of a Successful Online Education
posted in Online colleges, Online courses, Online schools, Online universities |According to the statistics today more and more people prefer online courses, but it does not mean that internal learning begins to lose its popularity and even necessity. About 3.2 million students have been attending at least one of the offered by the Universities and colleges online courses by the year of 2005, and the number is twice as big as that during the previous two years. So as you see online education gains more and more popularity among those who are eager to earn a particular degree but can not become an internal student due to some definite reasons.

Still not many professors and teachers do appreciate this kind of learning. They consider the so called “face-to-face” tutorials to be much better in the matters of really good education. But still the opinions are quite different as only 62 percent of the professors consider online courses to be at the same level with that of internal learning.
Surely online courses can become a real advantage for some people and a real disaster for the others. While some of us are eager and have the inclination to study independently, others may feel real lack of support and communication. People are different and the approaches to the system of education should vary too.
It is always convenient to be able to work using your own free hours without counting and depending on anybody. Those who got used to independent work and self study can benefit a lot. But those who really lack the motivation for self-improvement are unlikely to get the best from the course. The question of online courses is a controversial one and it is important to remember that we all have different inclinations, abilities and aptitudes.
It is impossible to find a multi-purpose and just one solution to all the problems. There are always poor students in every group. Some may easily grasp the essence of the subject or the topic under discussion. Others may sit and keep quiet all the time without showing any initiative. All personal features should be counted and weather you possess this or that one you should figure out if you are suitable for online courses.
Adult students can really benefit a lot while being engaged in a full time job. If he or she has a real motive and enough strength to further his/her education, online courses may help a lot. But if an ordinary but just a lazy teenager of the “college age” just does not have any desire to GO to educational institution and communicate with other students, just preferring home atmosphere and 24 hour access to the internet and numerous computer games, online courses are unlikely to make the best of what they can.
In general I do not consider online courses to be a real invention in the sphere of education. In fact there is no secret in it as 99.9% of success depends on personal features, ambitions and desire to reach the goal of students, and only 0.1% on a competently composed program and system of online courses.
