Now You Can Have Your Education Online

Computer technologies are found to be useful in many spheres of our life. Earning a degree through the internet is becoming quite a normal thing nowadays considering the pace of life we have today. E-learning (or electronic learning in full) enjoys wide popularity among millions of people throughout the world. Certainly it possesses some advantages and disadvantages but let’s first consider the ways online education becomes possible.

Various technical devices are used nowadays for numerous purposes and the internet is probably one of the most accessible nowadays. People from any side of the globe can “attend” classes using their personal web cameras and even mobile phones.

Some may claim that distance learning (which is actually the same as the E-learning) is lacking the so called face-to-face communication which is strongly objected by the others. With the help of modern devices it becomes quite simple to communicate with the “classmates” regardless of spatial differences using their web cameras. As it has become not so rare thing to hold the conferences via internet, “attending” classes in such a way does not seem to be such nonsense.

Special web sites are designed in order to make the process of teaching more accessible to those who live in different countries and have no opportunity to attend real classes. But such classes do exist!

It is mistakenly to think that E-learning admits only electronic means of teaching and studying. It is quite reasonable to combine the methods of teaching and use its different variants in order to help the students grasp the information faster and more sufficiently, though still various courses demand various approaches. In any case a great deal of attention is paid to self study.

In the United States there is a great amount of online Universities and colleges and many of the higher educational institutions of the country offer various kinds of online courses. By now more than 2 million people have already earned the degrees in various spheres of science and are quite successful in their careers. And it means that it all works! There is not any discrimination against those who have obtained the education in this way and they feel rather confident with a diploma of such kind.

But it is the fact that private Universities are more inclined to organize electronic education as the education in a private institution requires great expenses. Besides it is vitally important to hire competent staff that is able to work and teach online. In this respect not only pedagogical qualities are counted but also the ability to work with modern technologies.

In any case education was, is and will be one of the most sufficient issues in or life. It gives more opportunities to those who dream to fly high in their lives and are eager to achieve the best. All doors become open and the great prospective is waiting for you behind one of them. It is important not to make a mistake while choosing the one and finally make the world your oyster.

Who Else Wants to Become a Professional in Computer Science?

It has become inevitable that almost all our life is dependant on computer and information technology. What is more this sphere can bring quite a lot of money to those who are engaged in this kind of business. But still your knowledge, your prestige and, as the result, your income entirely depend on your degree.

It is not always easy to persuade your potential employer that you are a competent and hardworking employee with huge experience in this field though you have just been installing various programs to the computers of your friends. What will definitely make him or her believe in the value of your contribution into this particular company is surely your diploma got at a University or college of the country.

But what should you do if you have already got a job (though quite a low paid one) and are eager to be promoted, but your parents are unlikely to be glad to lend you some more money on your education. Where should you get your ambitions and finally start doing what you really would like to do in your life?

I’m afraid there is only one thing that will definitely help you with this issue. Online education is meant especially for those who would like to kill two birds with one stone: get education and earn his/her living.

Numerous colleges and universities offer a great variety of online courses and especially those in computer science and technology promising good prospects and high income. Now let’s have a look what is in today in this sphere and how much you can earn devoting yourself to this kind of occupation.

Computer programming: here you should get ready to spend at least 4 years on earning the degree in this field. After the courses you can take at American Sentinel University, Herzing College, Kaplan University, Penn Foster Career School, and Ashworth University you get the profession of either computer programmer or a software developer, or applications development programmer. And the average income you can get after finishing such courses is $62,890 a year. Not bad I should say.

Next come computer technician courses. The difference is that here you have the choice between associate’s and bachelor’s degrees (2 and 4 years of study respectively). Such technicians are in great demand nowadays at any company so you are welcome in this business. The qualifications you get at numerous universities and colleges are: systems administrator, computer technician and computer support specialist. The average income is $40,430 per year.

The sphere of information technology is probably the most profitable one as the average income of information technology manager is between $81,500 and $113,750. Here you can also choose between earning either an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (2 and 4 years).

Computer science degrees for potential database administrators, web developers and network systems analyst are obligatory if they want to earn up to $59,480 a year. Here the diploma does matter and only 4 years of study are available.

And the last ones computer training courses which also give the students two possible degrees: associate’s and bachelor’s ones, with which they can further their career and earn their living with pleasure and chances for promotion.

The Secret of a Successful Online Education

According to the statistics today more and more people prefer online courses, but it does not mean that internal learning begins to lose its popularity and even necessity. About 3.2 million students have been attending at least one of the offered by the Universities and colleges online courses by the year of 2005, and the number is twice as big as that during the previous two years. So as you see online education gains more and more popularity among those who are eager to earn a particular degree but can not become an internal student due to some definite reasons.

Still not many professors and teachers do appreciate this kind of learning. They consider the so called “face-to-face” tutorials to be much better in the matters of really good education. But still the opinions are quite different as only 62 percent of the professors consider online courses to be at the same level with that of internal learning.

Surely online courses can become a real advantage for some people and a real disaster for the others. While some of us are eager and have the inclination to study independently, others may feel real lack of support and communication. People are different and the approaches to the system of education should vary too.

It is always convenient to be able to work using your own free hours without counting and depending on anybody. Those who got used to independent work and self study can benefit a lot. But those who really lack the motivation for self-improvement are unlikely to get the best from the course. The question of online courses is a controversial one and it is important to remember that we all have different inclinations, abilities and aptitudes.

It is impossible to find a multi-purpose and just one solution to all the problems. There are always poor students in every group. Some may easily grasp the essence of the subject or the topic under discussion. Others may sit and keep quiet all the time without showing any initiative. All personal features should be counted and weather you possess this or that one you should figure out if you are suitable for online courses.

Adult students can really benefit a lot while being engaged in a full time job. If he or she has a real motive and enough strength to further his/her education, online courses may help a lot. But if an ordinary but just a lazy teenager of the “college age” just does not have any desire to GO to educational institution and communicate with other students, just preferring home atmosphere and 24 hour access to the internet and numerous computer games, online courses are unlikely to make the best of what they can.

In general I do not consider online courses to be a real invention in the sphere of education. In fact there is no secret in it as 99.9% of success depends on personal features, ambitions and desire to reach the goal of students, and only 0.1% on a competently composed program and system of online courses.
